Ruins unearthed by Malaga metro are largest archeological site in Spain

The excavations along the route of the new Malaga metro tunnel extension cover 4000 square metres and include remains of old Moorish houses and defensive works. They span 8 centuries of history, from 11th to 19th century AD. The most important artefacts and areas will be preserved and put on display.
