The Boulevard project in the central area of San Lorenzo Avenue, has been issued to tender. In addition, there will be a separate underground parking and a new town hall bulding adjacent to the center.

Casares mountain race gets cycling sections
The Council for Sports of Casares has announced that their iconic Mountain Trekking Race of next April will get new sections for cycling through the town and mountains. There is also a night race in July 2020 that will have new features and improvements. More info at https://carreravilladecasares.wordpress.com/
Art exhibition in Mijas Pueblo
Temporary exhibition until January 6th, 2020 at Clinica Veterinaria in Avenida Mexico 21, Mijas. Titled “Pitcures for pets”, by a group of professional international artists, gathered in Andalucia.
New year’s eve celebrations with a difference in Coin
Some rural towns have their own ways of celebrating New Year, and Coin is one of them. After the bells have rung in the new year, the streets fill with people in fancy dress, so the occassion seems more like a large carnival celebration. Join them in the Plaza Bermudez de la Rubia, and onwards to the Alameda this year.

New state of the art supermarket in San Pedro
San Pedro has a new Mercadona supermarket in a state-of-the-art, energy efficient, extensive unit of 1800 square metres. An additional 20 staff have joined the existing 95 San Pedro employees.
Cleaning work on Marbella’s Piruli tower
The council of Marbella has started cleaning work on giving the Piruli lighthouse tower a special chemical treatment. The tower, that was created in 1992, contains copper and marble that reuire regular maintenance. Some of the copper panels have been lifted by strong winds and will be replaced.
Puerto Banus Christmas market
27 market stalls in the Muelle de Ribera of Puerto Banus, until 5th of January, 2020. Open from 10h – 20h, offering crafts, gifts, gastronomy, and children’s activities.
Christmas hotel occupancy at highs
Hotels in Malaga city are almost at full capacity, as Christmas made reservations shoot up for the holiday season. Hotels in the rest of the Costa del Sol are 65% full on average, a notable improvement compared to previous years.
The town of Coin installs solar panels
The municipality of Coin has installed a total of 128 solar panels, mainly for hot water, which brought savings of around 70%. The majority are used for the town’s indoor swimming pool, saving around 30,000 euros per year.
