Roman ruins in Duquesa will become tourist attraction

The Roman ruins around the Duquesa castle have listed status, and are made up of a burial place, a villa, baths, and salted fish factory. They date from the first to the fifth century AD. Tender requests will go out shortly for closing off the site and laying out walkways with information panels for visitors.

Estepona gets a new stretch of coastal pathway

A new bridge of 145 metres is contracted to be added to the western part of the Estepona coastal pathway. The works, which will include drainage and lighting, are estimated to take 76 days.

Marbella’s bullring will reopen its door next summer after a comprehensive refurbishment currently under way. It is aimed at improving accessibility and safety, with a fire protection system and emergency lighting.The budget of the works is 1 million euros.
